As mobile gaming has come to the forefront of pop culture, this new game called “Night Terrors” is the horror genre’s answer to the Pokémon Go phenomenon. This upcoming augmented reality game will bring your nightmares to life through your mobile phone.

The game is being developed by Novum Analytics, and the company is aiming at blending the forums of gaming and cinema. After the company has been teasing the game for quite some time now, “Night Terrors” has finally been slated for a Halloween 2016 release date. The two founders, Bryan Mitchell and Bryce Katz, think they have created an original horror experience that will scare the crap out of you.

A beta test of the actual gameplay has already surfaced, and it looks completely frightening. The new augmented reality game looks as if it has the capability to manipulate your personal device to send you terrifying text messages and display images of ghouls and other horrifying objects (although not actually manipulating your phone, just looks like it). The creators have also mentioned that the use of sound will be crucial to gameplay as “Night Terrors” will utilize 3D audio, which means you will be able to hear which direction that ghosts and other creatures are coming from. They may even sound like they are in a different room!

Novum Analytics stated, “Manipulation si going to be an integral part of ‘Night Terrors’…each step of the way the game will be playing with your mind…your senses and questioning what’s real and what’s not. Are you ready?”
