Lovesick

Let’s be straight up about this – Lovesick is one of the best comedy sitcom’s Netflix has produced. Up there with the likes of Love and Master Of None, Lovesick explores the real difficulties of relationships in the modern world.

Originally titled Scrotal Recall, Lovesick tells the story of three best friends – Dylan, Evie, and Luke – over the span of their entire friendship.ย The kicker is that Dylan was diagnosed with a STD in the first episode, and his journey to track down all of his former lovers unfolds the story of his friends through the flashbacks.

Lovesick is brutally honest, and holds nothing back, making it a must-watch for any comedy lover. Be prepared though, because some of the show’s more sentimental moments will catch you off-guard, and have you sad when you least expect it.

Medici: Masters Of Florence

Medici is one of the newer series from Netflix, and it stars a very recognizable face to fans of the historical fantasy genre.

Richard Madden – Robb Stark on Game Of Thrones – stars as Cosimo. After the sudden death of his father, Cosimo is required to run one of the wealthiest banking families of 15th Century Italy.

The show captures the essence of the period, and its superior acting makes it a hit among fans of historical programming.ย

The Get Down

The Get Down has been out for a while, but hasn’t been featured in pop culture like fellow programs Stranger Things and Narcos.

From the brilliant mind of Baz Luhrmann (Mulan Rouge, The Great Gatsby), The Get Down explores the influence of music, culture, and race-relations in 1970s New York City. The tale of teens in the Bronx is a brilliant coming of age story that carries influence over people in any walk of life.

The excellent story-telling, paired with the unique style of Luhrmann, make The Get Down a show to worth adding to the top of your list.

3%

3% may not be an American program, but that’s no reason to sleep on this dystopian thriller. Set in the future, this series tells the struggles of the lower class, as the rich have speparated themselves from the pack.

The show provides a unique perspective on our current social and economic climate, but does so in a way that keeps you coming back for more.

If you’re into action, sci-fi, or intense drama, look no further than 3%.
