At just 9-year-old, Burke experienced the loss of his 6-year-old baby sister during what was suppose to be one of the most joyful times of the year, Christmas Day in 1996.
JonBenét was beaten and strangled. Her body was left in the basement of her family’s home.
It is still unknown who committed such a horrible crime. Her parents were cleared as suspects, and for all we know the killer could still be at large.
