‘Criminal Minds’ star Thomas Gibson has been having a tough weekend. He was fired on Friday after an altercation on the set of the hit CBS show and according to The Hollywood Reporter, has “hired a top Los Angeles law firm to pursue possible legal claims against the show’s producers.”
The Hollywood Reporter reported that Skip Miller and partner Alexander (Sasha) Frid ofthe firm Miller Barondes LLP “have begun representing Gibson and are evaluating whether to pursue legal claims.”

Gibson was originally suspended for two episodes after he reportedly kicked a writer on set while he was directing an episode for season 12 of the show. He also responded to the suspension news, saying the altercation occurred after the writer became “aggressive.”
“There were creative differences on the set and a disagreement,” the actor told TheWrap. “I regret that it occurred. We all want to work together as a team to make the best show possible. We always have and always will.”
