The first stills from the upcoming comic movie Officer Downe have been released.The website Birth, Movies, Death released three stills from the film, which stars Sons of Anarchy star Kim Coates.The movie is based off of a comic by the same name, created by Joe Casey (Wildcats) and Chris Burnham (Batman Incorporated) and published by Image Comics.
The comic book version of Officer Downe stars a resurrected police officer who acts as the LAPD’s weapon against supervillains plaguing the city.While effective at his job, Downe is insanely violent and slightly psychopathic.Unsurprisingly, the movie version of Officer Downe will be R-rated and early cuts of the film have drawn comparisons to the Deadpool movie.

Officer Downe will be directed Slipknot drummer Shawn Crahan and produced by Crank co-director Mark Neveldine.No release date has been announced for Officer Downe, but it’s anticipated to reach theatres sometime this year. Check out the photo gallery for more stills from Officer Downe.
