A new trailer has been released for LBJ, a biopic about President Lyndon B. Johnson, which stars Woody Harrelson.
The film stars Harrelson in the title role, and as you can see by the trailer first shared by Screen Rant, he’s sporting quite a lot of facial prosthetics for it.

It really is great work that makeup team does, however, because Harrelson perfectly blends into the character and you almost forget you’re watching him.
The premise of the film is as follows:
“The story centers around the political upheaval that Vice President Johnson faced when he was thrust into the presidency at the hands of an assassin’s bullet in November 1963. With political battles on both sides of the aisle, Johnson works to heal a nation and secure his presidency by passing Kennedy’s historic Civil Rights Act. His early years are also chronicled.”
In addition to Harrelson, Jeffrey Donovan (Burn Notice) stars as John F. Kennedy, and Jennifer Jason Leigh (The Hateful Eight) stars as LBJ’s wife, Lady Bird Johnson.

The remaining cast includes Richard Jenkins, Bill Pullman, Kim Allen, Michael Stahl-David, Doug McKeon, C. Thomas Howell, and Michael Mosley.
LBJ is directed by Rob Reiner, who is also responsible for other iconic political films such as A Few Good Men and The American President.
This isn’t Reiner’s first foray into biopic material either, as he also directed and produced the 1996 film Ghosts of Mississippi, which was “based on the true story of the 1994 trial of Byron De La Beckwith, the white supremacist accused of the 1963 assassination of civil rights activist Medgar Evers.”
LBJ previously screened at the 2016 Toronto International Film Festival and will be released in theaters nationwide on Nov. 3 of this year.
