Michelle Rodriguez has further clarified those comments about leaving the Fast & Furious franchise. In a video posted with co-star Vin Diesel, the actress clarified that Diesel is not part fo the problem and that he is always supportive of female characters.
"Vin, for many years you've been the biggest supporter of strong women," she says in the clip. "And I've always appreciated that about you throughout the years. And just know if I ever post anything, that's not you I'm talking to."
Diesel replies saying, "Of course it's not me," as the two share a laugh together.
In the video's caption, Diesel appears to back Rodriguez's points about female characters being under-appreciated in the franchise.
"Proud of Our saga... but we must try to reach higher each time," he wrote. "The challenge is what makes it fun and exciting. Its also why this saga has reached the level that it has... you have been the best fans in film history and we are forever grateful..."
Rodriguez spoke out about possibly leaving the franchise in an Instagram post earlier in the week.0comments
"F8 is out digitally today, I hope they decide to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one," she wrote. "Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise. It's been a good ride & Im grateful for the opportunity the fans & studio have provided over the years... One Love."
