A giant inflatable duck has been wreaking havoc on the streets of Scotland. After a huge inflatable duck first appeared in Hong Kong, and then a monster inflatable minion tore its way through Dublin; it's safe to say that huge inflatables could be taking over the world.

Most recently, an enormous inflatable yellow duck seemed to show up out of nowhere on the streets of Glasgow. Motorists on the M8 motorway were in shock as the gargantuan bird rampaged over the roads.

The enormous duck was supposed to be the promotional mascot for a local car dealership owned by a man named Peter Vardy. When blustery weather passed through and broke the inflatable's ties to the ground, the duck was carried on the wind throughout the city as civilians watched the bizarre scene unfold.

"I couldn't believe it," one surprised eyewitness told Glasgow Live. "It's not what you expect to see on your way to work in the morning."

One Twitter user named Mikey McKenna posted a picture of the duck with the caption: "#Vardy's inflatable duck made a run for it this morning," with the hash tags "#Braehead" and "#Glasgow."

One Twitter user named Andrea McCall tweeted: "@PeterVardy_Help your giant inflatable duck has just hit my car in the middle of the road in Glasgow! #surreal #Glasgowduckontheloose."

A video of the giant duck was shared on social media by Facebook user Mark Duncan with the caption: "Giant Duck heading to Braehead today be careful out there kids."
