Country superstar, Luke Bryan may have entertained thousands at his Kansas City show on Friday night, but one “super fan” who was more thrilled.

Kansas City news affiliate, KSHB reports 88-year-old, Francis Stanaway, who is battling a terminal illness, got the chance to meet her long-time country music favorite while wearing her decorated Bryan shirt to his Sprint Center concert.

“I like the way he keeps up with his music,” she explained. “I like all the songs.”

With her son and daughter-in-law joining her for the event, the two said that Friday’s show made the 88-year-old excited.

“This is probably the most excited she’s been for six to seven months,” explained Vincent Sokolaski.

Stanaway’s daughter-in-law, Linda, said Bryan’s show provided an opportunity for the whole family to attend, saying, “We’re excited for her because she used to love country so much before she went to the nursing home. She doesn’t get to experience it much more.”

After organizing the event with the show’s organizers, hospice staff was able to arrange a meet-and-greet for Stanaway and her family with Bryan before the show. And if the photographs are any proof, the super fan had the time of her life.

With Bryan celebrating his birthday last week, Stanaway thoughtfully brought along the 41-year-old a present โ€” a bag of Lay’s potato chips that he just absolutely loves while on tour and can of his favorite Topsy popcorn.

“It’s [all about] living your life to its fullest until the very end, that’s what I think,” Linda said.
