Abbott revealed on social media that he proposed to his girlfriend and the mother of his baby girl, Emery Farryn, on Thursday and in most wonderful news, Parnell said yes.
The Texas country crooner took to Instagram to share a very creative proposal for his girlfriend that had him enlisting the help of his 2-month-old daughter.
In a photograph shared to his personal account on his 37th birthday, Abbott snapped a series of snapshots with his daughter wearing a onesie that read, “Mommy will you marry Daddy?” alongside the caption, “Good news! She said yes.”
The bride-to-be who celebrated her 25th birthday last week, couldn’t contain her excitement and took to her own account to share the big news, writing, “Yes! I get to marry my bestie,” she wrote along a series of images. “Is it time to head to Cabo??”
This is Abbott’s second marriage, following a very public breakup from his wife, Amanda, whom he admitted to cheating on in 2014. In a shocking set of tweets nearly three years ago, Abbott confessed to fans and followers that he cheated on his wife, struggled with alcohol abuse and “lost [himself] as an accountable human being.”
Abbott and his band will release their new album, Until My Voice Goes Out, on August 18. Abbott tells Nash Country Daily that it is a big step in his new life, saying, “This album is about appreciating the moment and your family and your friends, and living life the right way. It’s really all about finding clarity and focusing on what’s important.”
