It’s here folks. The reunion you’ve been waiting for is finally here, and now we have a release date for Netflix’s Gilmore Girls. To kick things off Rory (Alexis Bledel) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) discuss if Lorelai could actually be friends with Amy Schumer. The answer seems to be no, mostly because of her lack of interest in sports.

Whether that changes or not, we don’t have long to find out, as the first in a four-part event releases on Netflix November 25th (via Variety). The series will differ a bit in format from previous seasons, but not in tone. A Year In The Life is split into four chapters, each one 90 minutes long. Each of these chapters takes place during a particular season, Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall.

Amy Sherman-Palladino is executive producing and directing the series along with Daniel Palladino. In addition to Bledel and Graham, other members of the original cast are returning as well, including Melissa McCarthy, Scott Patterson, Rose Abdoo, Sally Struthers, Kelly Bishop, Milo Ventimiglia, David Sutcliffe, Jared Padalecki, and more.
Graham recently spoke to PEOPLE about returning to the show, and she couldn’t be happier.
“I relished it, and I’m ruined for life because there’s no more perfect fit I feel like for me than that writing and that show.” She continued stating, “I’m so glad I got to do it again. I just can’t even explain it. It was everything I wanted it to be and more.”
