Macklemore is lucky to be alive after he was involved in a dangerous car crash in which he was struck head-on by an alleged drunk driver.
On Friday, the Grammy winner was allegedly hit by a pickup truck after it crashed into his Mercedes in Langley, Washington. The incident occurred before 11 p.m. local time and happened after the truck reportedly crossed lanes into oncoming traffic hitting Macklemore’s vehicle, according to TMZ.

The police are saying that the pickup truck driver was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck. He hit his head on the windshield in the collision and was left unconscious and bleeding.
The motorist told the officers that he had an alcoholic beverage “a while back.” When asked how much he consumed, the report says that the man replied by saying, “5 o’clock.”
Macklemore, 34, wasn’t alone in his Mercedes. He had two other passengers riding along with him. One of the passengers was treated for a minor cut to the head. Fortunately, all three walked away from the accident without serious injury.

The Washington State Police say that the pickup driver was taken to the hospital for treatment and was charged with DUI.
Macklemore and his team have not commented on the situation at this point.
