“Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the Purpose World Tour concerts,” read his reps’ statement, which was posted on Bieber’s Facebook page. “Justin loves his fans and hates to disappoint them. He thanks his fans for the incredible experience of the Purpose World Tour over the last 18 months.”

“He is grateful and honored to have shared that experience with his cast and crew for over 150 successful shows across 6 continents during this run,” the statement continued. “However, after careful consideration he has decided he will not be performing any further dates. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase.”

Bieber was scheduled to perform over a dozen more shows over the next few months, traveling through North America before concluding the jaunt in Asia in October.

“It wasn’t a decision made overnight,” a source told Variety of the singer’s decision. “He’s had some time off and was able to consider his commitments.”

The 23-year-old began the Purpose tour in March 2016.

Now, the singer is speaking out to his fans about the cancellation.

“Im grateful for the tours but most of all I am grateful i get to go through this life WITH YOU.!” he wrote. “Learning and growing hasn’t always been easy but knowing I im not alone has kept me going. I have let my insecurities get the best of me at times.”

“I let my broken relationships dictate the way I acted toward people and the way I treated them! i let bitterness, jealously and fear run my life.!!!!” he continued. “I am extremely blessed to have people in the past few years help me build my character back up reminding me of who I am and who I want to be!!!”

He says the Purpose tour was “unbelievable” and “taught me so much about myself.”ย

Bieber told his fans that he needed to take some time off for his well-being.

“Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE..” he wrote. “I want my career to be sustainable, but I also want my mind heart and soul to be sustainable. So that I can be the man I want to be, the husband I eventually want to be and the father I want to be.”

Justin Bieber Reportedly Had Religious Reasons for Canceling Tour

Beiberย fans across the globe were disappointed when the singerย canceled the remainder of his world tour. Now, sources say that his growing re-dedication toย religionย was one of the driving factors behind the decision.

TMZย has sources saying that the “Sorry” singer has “rededicated his life to Christ” and is looking to get more involved in church life.

Bieberย was raised Christian and has recorded religious songs before, such as “Pray” and “Silent Night” on his Christmas album,ย Under theย Mistletoe. However, his connection to theย Hillsongย Church inย Australiaย has strengthened to the point were he has been “virtually joined at the hip withย Hillsongย pastor Carlย Lentz” in recent months.

These reports were backed up by Australian TV personality Richard Wilkins, whose sources tell him that not only doesย Bieberย want to focus on faith, but he is also considering starting a church.

“I am led to believe that the real reason he has come off the road is because he wants to reconnect with his faith and he may be even planning to start his own church,” Wilkinsย said. “We know that he was in the country a few weeks ago having meetings and attending the bigย Hillsongย convention that they had here. [He’s] very close to a lot of theย Hillsongย people.”

Bieberย announced the cancellationย in July, with no reason given aside from “unforeseen circumstances.”

Justin Bieber Runs Over Paparazzo With His Truck

A few days after ending his tour,ย Bieber accidentally struck a paparazzo with his truck while leaving City Church in Beverly Hills, police confirmed to E! News.

“Justin slid into his truck in the alley. He got in the driver’s seat and saw all the photographers flashing. He drove out slowly, and there was a group of photographers on the driver’s side and a group on the passenger’s side. Once he drove out, the driver’s side paparazzo started walking around the front of the car. It was like a mob scene, flashing at him,” an eyewitness said.

The witness added that one paparazzo fell down in the mob, and the wheel of Bieber’s car ran over the man’s leg.

After realizing he hit someone, Bieber got out of his car and offered assistance to the man.

Cops arrived on the scene with an onlooker saying Bieber “was totally cooperative with the police” as he was questioned.

“They taped off the area and the cops took him inside,” a witness added. “They did not arrest him.”

Police say the paparazzo suffered non-life-threatening injuries to one of his lower extremities.

Paparazzo Struck by Justin Bieber Speaks out From Hospital

The paparazzo that pop superstar Bieber hit with his truckย spoke out about the incident.

The photographer, Maurice Lamont, took to Instagram on to reveal a video, which has since been deleted, from the hospital before having an examination to explain that the 23-year-old singer had no bad intentions in the accident.

Lamont said in the video: “Hour before my birthday hits, I get ran over by Justin Bieber. Isn’t that something? He’s a good kid though. I think the truck was a little bit too big for him though. Cause there’s no way he could see over the front, it was the slope it was on. But like I said, he got out, he was compassionate. He’s a good kid. Accidents happen. Hopefully, everything works out here.”

The photographer shared the post with the caption: “WOW WHAT A WAY TO BRING IN MY BIRTHDAY! SHOTGETTER POWER! I WISH BIEBER WAS STILL ON TOUR!!”
