Jill (Duggar) and Derick Dillard Give Family Update Ahead of Son’s Arrival

Jill Duggar and her husband Derick Dillard are anticipating the arrival of their second son, Samuel Scott.

In the meantime, the couple took to their family’s website to give an update on what has been happening in their lives over the last few weeks.

The pair starts off the update by thanking everyone for their prayers and support over the last month as they transitioned their lives back to America after spending a couple weeks in Central America.

The Dillard’s lost two close friends during their time in Central America. They spoke about their friends that remain there and are living in “difficult areas.” Jill and Derick thanked their fans for the prayers and funds they sent to the families of their friends who passed away. They also gave a health update on their “dear friend” Brenda, who is recovering from brain surgery.

Before leaving Central America, one of their “sweet” friends threw Jill a birthday party.

The couple asked for continued prayers for their friends and for the upcoming arrival of their little one.

“We are looking forward to the arrival of little Samuel Scott very soon,” they wrote on the website. “Jill and baby have continued to check out well, and we appreciate your prayers for a great delivery.”

The soon-to-be mother of two is spending as much time with her first born child, Israel David, before he becomes a big brother. She posted a sweet photo of the two on Instagram Friday, writing, “My little baby! He’s so affectionate. Can’t believe he is so big already!”
