Aaron Carter and girlfriend, Madison Parker, have split.
The couple mutually ended their relationship last week, Carter’s rep said in a statement to Entertainment Tonight.

“Aaron and Madison love each other and respect each other dearly. It was a mutual decision and Aaron’s personal statement released speaks for itself. Now back to the music,” the statement read.
Carter had previously said that wanted to propose to Parker, who he first met on Instagram. Parker was with Carter when he was arrested on DUI and drug charges in July. She was also charged with possession of marijuana, obstruction of law enforcement officers and possession of drug-related objects.
The news of the couple’s split comes on the heels of an emotional message Carter shared with his fans on Twitter on Saturday in which he revealed that he is bisexual, and has had interest in both boys and girls since he was a teen.
“I grew up in this entertainment industry at a very young age and when I was around 13-years-old I started to find boys and girls attractive,” Carter wrote.

“It doesn’t bring me shame, just a weight and burden I have held onto for a long time that I would like lifted off of me,” he added.
