Ashley Graham Brings Out The Baywatch In New Photo Shoot

Ashley Graham is going full Baywatch for her new swimsuit ad campaign with Swimsuits For All, and the Vogue cover girl isn’t afraid to show off the curves in these snaps.

The swimsuit company tapped 29-year-old Graham, 26-year-old Kanye West muse Teyana Taylor, and 42-year-old model vet Niki Taylor to be featured in the nostalgia-soaked photo shoot. All three lovely ladies posed in the iconic red one-piece swimsuits while riding jet-skis, hanging with hunky lifeguards, soaking up the sun on the beach.

Ashley Graham shared a snap from the shoot showing her, Niki and Teyana posing with their backs towards the camera. The picture puts each of their stunning bodies on full display as they posed under a boardwalk and further proves how much of an impact Graham is having bringing the curvy culture to the front of the stage.

The Sports Illustrated swimsuit model captioned the post: “@swimsuitsforall giving me life with sexy swimsuits, no matter age, shape or size. #SummerIsHere #SwimsuitsForAllSummer17.”

Ashley Graham spoke with People magazine about the photoshoot. 

“Having Teyana and Niki there shooting together was so fun, plus the jet skis were a blast,” she said.

It was evident to see from the photos that the three models were having an absolute blast as they could not contain their smiles during the shoot.

Teyana Taylor said that posing alongside Niki and Ashley was “surreal.”

“Especially when you remember being a little girl, seeing Sports Illustrated magazines and saying, ‘Wow these ladies are beautiful!’ Being as though I’m posing alongside two previous SI Issue models, my next stop just might be SI!” Taylor said.

Teyana also shared multiple images from the Swimsuits For All photoshoot. She captioned a gallery of pics on Instagram: “OMGGGGGGGG @swimsuitsforall giving me life with sexy swimsuits, no matter age, shape or size!!! So getcha #baywatch on NOW! #SummerIsHere #SwimsuitsForAllSummer17 #baewatch #baywatch.”

As for Niki Taylor, the photoshoot marked the ’90s supermodel’s return to the front of the camera.

“I haven’t been in a swimsuit since the ’90s, so I was a bit nervous. But my life was always being outside and I live for the beach,” Niki said. “I’ve had four children, taken time off and had some pretty major surgery…so it was never something I was thinking about, but then I thought…’Why not?’ And I have to tell you, it was great.”

Niki shared a photo with her, Ashley, and Teyana. She posted the pic with the same caption that Teyana Taylor used.

During her rise to fame, Ashley Graham has been outspoken about being grateful for the opportunity to be one of the most sought-after models today. However, she still believes that the fashion industry has a ways to go in terms of catering to women of all sizes. Because her shape is different than that of the stereotypical model, Graham has been leading the charge on promoting body positivity and body confidence for everyone.

“Do I sometimes wish I were thinner? God, in the old days, absolutely I did, but now I feel that to lose weight would be disloyal to myself,” she said. “A lot of who I am is connected to my size, and I am so happy with who I am.”

Graham says that reducing a woman to size “isn’t really getting us any farther in life.”

As for her figure, Ashley Graham says that she is content with her shape and that anyone else should not be able to dictate how her body needs to look.

“My weight is going to go up and down but, also, nobody can dictate what I’m doing,” she said. “I’m a true size 14, I’m happy with my body, nobody has dictatorship over who I am.”

Even though there are body-shakers that frequently throw shade at Ashley Graham over her size, she plans to march on with her hopes of starting a new line of clothing with all women in mind.

“I’m ready to come out with a line of clothes that’s affordable, that’s for all sizes. The beauty of being a curvier girl is that we’re all shaped so differently,” Graham said.”But it’s sad because I really think there’s a lot of designers who do go up to a size 22, 24 but buyers are not buying them because they don’t think we’re gonna come in and buy it.”
