Kristin Cavallari and Her Family Are Leaving Chicago After Husband Jay Cutler Is Cut by NFL Team

It’s a sad day for Chicagoans and fans of the Chicago Bears!

Kristin Cavallari and Jay Cutler are saying goodbye to Chicago. The Bears quarterback has been released from the NFL team after eight years, the Chicago Sun Times reports.

Cutler and his wife, former reality television star Kristin Cavallari, both spoke out about the bittersweet news and the impact the city has left on their little family.

The Hills star announced in an Instagram post on Monday that she and her family will be leaving Chi Town in the very near future.

“So we’re moving from Chicago soon and I gotta say, I’m really gonna miss this place,” she wrote. “Not only we’re all 3 of my babies born here, it’s where it all began with jay, it brought me closer to my mom who has become my best friend, I’ve made some amazing girlfriends, and I’ve really enjoyed being back here (a lot of people don’t know I lived here when I was younger).

“Thanks for the good times, Chicago. This will always be a special place for us,” she concluded alongside a heart emoji.

Cutler was cut by the Chicago Bears in March after eight seasons after being plagued by injuries. As a free agent, any NFL team could potentially sign him.

Cutler released a sweet statement of his own on Thursday, that was published in the Chicago Sun-Times.

“I would like to first thank the city of Chicago and its passionate fans for a memorable eight years,” he began. “I grew up in Indiana rooting for the Bears as a kid, so it was an honor to wear the Bears uniform and play quarterback at Soldier Field for my favorite childhood team.”

“Chicago is the city where I met my wonderful wife Kristin. I have been fortunate to have three beautiful children here,” Cutler continued. “Our family will leave Chicago with great memories and relationships on and off the field. We look forward to the next chapter in our lives and wish the best to Bears fans everywhere.”

Naturally, fans had plenty of thoughts about the Bears’ releasing Cutler from the team.
