Three years ago, Derick Dillard and Jill Duggar Dillard Skyped for the first time, and the rest was history!
“3 years ago this week I Skyped for the first time with the woman who would become my bride and best friend!” Derick wrote on Twitter Friday. “14 hr time diff, but >5hr convo.”

The pair began officially courting in 2014, video chatting for three months before Jill flew to Nepal with her dad to meet Derick face-to-face.
They announced their engagement that same year, tying the knot months later in June 2014. Derick and Jill are now parents to two-year-old son Israel, who was born in March 2015.
Last year, they began doing missionary work with S.O.S. Ministries in Central America.
