During the murder trial, Anthony's parents, George and Cindy, were both brought into the media spotlight as well.

Anthony's legal team accused George of being involved in Caylee's death. However, Cindy claimed that Caylee's death was an accidental drowning and that Anthony simply panicked.

Anthony referred to the woman as "Zanny the Nanny," and many believed that this was not a real person or was a reference to Xanax.

One of the most difficult tasks for the prosecutors on the case was to sift through Anthony's lies. For example, one lie that Anthony told detectives was that she was kidnapped by the nanny on June 9.

Anthony doesn't seem to regret lying to the cops, but rather that she confessed to doing so.

"People lie to the cops every day. Cops lie to people every day; I'm just one of the unfortunate idiots who admitted that they lied," she said.

Anthony said that she believes that law enforcement had it in for her all throughout the trial. Even though she wasn't forthcoming with the truth, Anthony said that she believes she was "victimized" in the trial.

"Even if I would've told them everything that I told to the psychologist, I hate to say this but I firmly believe I would have been in the same place," Anthony said. "Because cops believe other cops. Cops tend to victimize the victims. I understand now ... I see why I was treated the way I was even had I been completely truthful."

Now that the trial has been over for several years, Anthony has only spoken out a handful of times. On one such occasion, she addressed the possibility of having more children.

"If I am blessed enough to have another child — if I'd be dumb enough to bring another kid into this world knowing that there'd be a potential that some jackass, their little snot-nosed kid would then say something mean to my kid — I don't think I could live with that," she said, according to PEOPLE.

In one of her most recent interviews, Anthony spoke out about what Caylee would have been like today. Many were shocked to hear how Anthony characterized how her daughter would be if she was alive today.

"Caylee would be 12 right now, and would be a total badass," she said.

While the jury came back with a not guilty verdict, many still believed that Anthony was guilty. Because of this, she has essentially been in hiding since the trial.

Anthony shocked people when discussing her public perception, and how she feels no guilt whatsoever.

"I don't give a s--- about what anyone thinks about me, I never will," Anthony told the Associated Press. "I'm OK with myself, I sleep pretty good at night."

While a jury found Anthony innocent, she did reveal that she was not proud of the woman she was at the time of Caylee's disappearance.
