Lady Antebellum members Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood announced on Thursday that they are both expecting their second children with their respective spouses, but Scott made a second announcement on Friday — she’s expecting twins!
The singer revealed that she and husband Chris Tyrrell will be welcoming two new additions to their family in 2018, sharing the news with a video and a series of sweet family photos.

Scott and Tyrrell, who wed in 2012, are already parents to 4-year-old daughter Eisele. In the video, the expectant parents break the news to their little girl, who is instantly excited to welcome her new siblings.
“God has answered our family’s countless prayers!” Scott captioned the announcement. “Our family is growing…Chris, Eisele, and I wanted to share our DOUBLE portion of joy with you all! We appreciate all the love and prayers in the coming weeks as we wait.”
Scott revealed on Good Morning America in 2016 that she went through a miscarriage the previous fall, and addressed her family’s loss in the caption.
“My heart still grieves for our loss and all who are struggling with pregnancy and infant loss and infertility,” she wrote. “God hears every prayer and I will continue to share our story to point to the Source of all life, peace and comfort in the best and most difficult of times. Don’t lose hope!”
If the twins are anything like their big sister, Scott and Tyrrell are going to have a family of budding musicians on their hands, as Eisele recently stole the show at a Lady Antebellum VIP performance with an adorably sassy rendition of “Hit the Road Jack” with some help from her mom, Kelley and Haywood.

In April, Scott opened up to People about raising a daughter, sharing that she wants Eisele to grow up to be her own person who feels confident in who she is.
“The biggest thing for me as a mom is I want her to step into and grow into the human being she is created to be, to not once feel like she can’t do something,” she said. “But I also feel, as a mom and my husband as a father, it’s so important to really know her and to encourage her where we see her strengths and to help really direct in a way.”
“I feel that’s a very important part of parenthood, and I think more than anything I want her to be an empowered woman,” Scott continued. “I want her to feel like she has every opportunity, but thank God she’s not at an age where she knows what that feels like yet.”
Congratulations to the growing family!
