Drake and Future Sued for $25 Million by Woman Claiming She Was Raped at Their Concert

Drake and Future are facing a legal situation after a woman was allegedly raped during a concert on their Summer Sixteen tour, E! News reports.

The woman is suing a group of defendants, including the two rappers, claiming their negligence led to her attack.

The $25 million lawsuit, filed earlier this week, states the woman (identified only as Jane Doe) attended the Drake/Future concert on August 14, 2016 at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.

In the court documents, the alleged victim claims a man associated with the Bridgestone Arena, who was later identified as Leavy Johnson, approached her and offered to take her backstage to meet the performers.

While the woman followed Johnson, she says he pushed her “to the ground and violently assaulted and raped her, shattering her cell phone and causing severe physical and psychological injury.”

Johnson was arrested after the incident and currently awaits trial.

The plaintiff argues that “each and every one of the defendants was the agent of the others in the context of the event, and, as a result, each is responsible for the conduct of the others.”

Additionally, she argues that the defendants were in charge of making sure their concert attendees were not harmed.

Drake and Future’s Summer Sixteen tour was the highest grossing hip-hop tour of 2016. The Nashville concert alone grossed more than $1.4 million in revenue.

The two rappers have not publicly commented on the lawsuit.
