If you thought that the impending solar eclipse was going to go off without a hitch, think again. Emergency officials in South Carolina are warning of possible “paranormal activity” tied to the much rumored Lizard Man.

A 17-year-old kid reportedly saw the creature while he was on his way home from work late at night and stopped to change a tire, according to Uproxx.

Throughout the years, sightings of the creature remained constant, with the most recent one being in 2015.

A woman who was leaving church reportedly saw the Lizard Man and even snapped a picture of him.

Fast forward to now, and the rumors and concerns of Lizard Man sightings during the solar eclipse are such a worry that emergency departments in South Carolina feel the need to acknowledge them.

In addition to the South Carolina Emergency Management Division’s statement above, the Greenville Police Department also commented on the concern of paranormal sightings.

On Facebook, they shared a joke video of an alleged “Bigfoot” sighting and wrote, “After watching this video from nearby Boone, North Carolina, Facebook followers and friends, I think we can say with some confidence that proof of Bigfoot still eludes us.”

Their message ended by saying, “If you see Bigfoot, please do not shoot at him/her, as you’ll most likely be wounding a fun-loving and well-intentioned person, sweating in a gorilla costume.”
