The Bachelorette star Rachel Lindsay is calling out contestant Lee Garrett for posting a number of racist and misogynistic tweets prior to his stint on the ABC show.
On Monday night’s “Men Tell All” episode, prior to next week’s finale, Lindsay confronted Garrett about his controversial thoughts that he shared on social media.

Host Chris Harrison brought up the offensive tweets that surfaced at the beginning of the season and then proceeded to read a few aloud.
In one specific tweet, Garrett wrote, “What’s the difference between the NAACP and the KKK? One has a sense of shame to cover their racist a** faces.”
Soon thereafter, Garrett was asked why he joined the show to meet the first black Bachelorette when he had racist opinions.
“I don’t like racism at all,” Lee said. “It bothers me morally, it bothers me inside, and I don’t like it. And when I woke up and I saw that those came out, it hurt me a lot.”
Even though it was a tense moment, it ended peacefully with Lindsay telling Garrett that this experience could better him as a person.

Garrett also apologized for the offensive tweets.
“I’m sorry for saying things when I was not educated and ignorant in those subjects,” he said.
Garrett said that he was there to learn and that despite his mistakes, he was thankful for the guys that reached out to him.
He then apologized to Lindsay directly for messing up her experience on the show.
“I took a situation that was very important to you and very important to a lot of people, and I didn’t take that initiative to learn, and I watched it and just, goodness,” he said.
