The 2017 Emmy nominations came out recently and one of the big takeaways is the 91 nominations that Netflix garnered.

Granted, many of those are for smaller and more fringe level categories, but the streaming giant still did very well in the main categories as well.
The only network that topped Netflix was HBO.
Slowly but surely, Netflix is making its way to the top of the pack, as over the last few years they’ve brought in more and more nominations.
They’ve even won a nice stack of awards, racking up trophies for new classics like House Of Cards and Orange Is The New Black, as well as lower-profile shows like Bloodline and Master of None.
This year is no different, as several Netflix shows have once again brought in Emmy recognition for outstanding performances.

House Of Cards
Season five debuted on May 30th, 2017.
As the first major Netflix original series, House of Cards has really lead the charge in more ways than one, considering how many Emmy nominations its earned throughout its run.

Black Mirror: San Junipero is nominated in the outstanding TELEVISION MOVIE category at this year’s Emmy awards.
