Charlotte Flair Accused of Stealing 'Gimmick'

The grace of Charlotte Flair has officially been called into question. Current GFW Knockouts Champion Sienna posted to Twitter, accusing that Charlotte has ripped off her gimmick.

The feathers look more like a coincidence, as Sienna was willing to look past that. However, the new pinky mannerism Charlotte has been using with Becky Lynch may be the sign of an alarming trend.

Charlotte issued a passive response this morning on Twitter. She posted a photo with her pinky tucked, while Becky had hers in the typical upright position:

Unfortunately for Charlotte, she doesn't exactly have the benefit of the doubt. Her father, Ric Flair infamously lifted huge portions of his own persona. Before the Nature Boy Ric Flair, there was the Nature Boy Buddy Rogers. Even further, Rogers also used the Figure Four Leg Lock as his finisher. Some would even go so far to say that Flair walks, and even looks like Rogers.

That said, can we assume that if Charlotte were to call her dad about using some of Sienna's acts that he'd tell her it's a bad idea? We can't possibly answer, but it's a juicy notion.

From her photo today, it's clear that Flair isn't giving Sienna much of a second thought. This story may just be getting started. From our perspective, it;s hard to know how egregious this may be. In stand up comedy, stealing jokes is about as low as a performer can stoop. Can the same be said in wrestling?

Maybe Charlotte feels that since she has the vastly superior stage, what she uses she inherently owns. Regardless, it feels like this may just be getting started. We'll keep you posted as it develops.
