Reason Behind Anna Faris and Chris Pratt's Split Reportedly Revealed

Despite speculation that there could be a third party involved, Chris Pratt and his wife of eight years Anna Faris are reportedly calling it quits because of different opinions on family dynamics.

TMZ sources are claiming that Faris, 40, has a more traditional view of how their brood should interact. She wants them to be together most of the time and have a home base, which has been Los Angeles for her in recent years. The Mom star also reportedly wants more children.

On the other hand, Pratt reportedly doesn't want more children in the foreseeable future because his career is at an all-time high right now. Due to the fact that he has become a Hollywood heavyweight, the Guardians of the Galaxy star is being given opportunities that take him all over the world. Thus, making a traditional family life quite difficult.

While the former couple may have opposing viewpoints on having more children, they share the same love and connection to their son, Jack. Both Pratt and Faris are devoted parents and sources say they are determined to give their child the best upbringing possible.

At this time Pratt and Faris are only separated, but they are making plans to finalize their split by getting a divorce, sources say. Even though they are calling it quits, the former couple is expected to be "as amicable as it gets" in their divorce proceedings.

The two announced their separation on Sunday. Pratt took to his Facebook page to announce their decision.

"Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating," the statement read. "We tried hard for a long time, and we're really disappointed. Our son has two parents who love him very much and for his sake we want to keep this situation as private as possible moving forward. We still have love for each other, will always cherish our time together and continue to have the deepest respect for one another."

After the news of Pratt and Faris' split, a bevy of fans took to social media to voice their sadness. Some even speculated as to the cause behind their separation.
