Despite notorious bad blood between Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump, it seems there's still plenty of love to go around between O'Donnell and Trump's daughter, Ivanka Trump.

The comedienne has famously been feuding with Trump since 2004 and came face-to-face with Ivanka for the first time at a New York City resaurant on Wednesday. O'Donnell almost got up and left, but instead decided to talk to Ivanka. Surprisingly, their conversation went incredibly well, E! News reports.

At first, O'Donnell simply wrote a tweet about the encounter, writing, "@IvankaTrumpi in a city of 8 million - we meet face 2 face - I thank u for listening - mother 2 mother - on this new years week - my best 2 u."

O'Donnell later went on to write a poem, titled "8 Million to One," writing about their encounter and explaining how she was "captivated" by the businesswoman's beauty and taken aback by her kindness.

She explained the encounter in her poem: "5 steps toward her table/introduced myself/she smiled genuinely/her husband was warm and gracious/i told her of my children/some truths about myself/my pain and shame/she was absurdly kind."

The poem goes on from there, "i just wanted u to know'/i said in a shaky quiet voice/i then made my way down the large wooden stairway/into my waiting car."

She finished by writing, "i wrote a book once/about bashert/the concept of/meant to be/it has comforted me/on my darkest days/when my innervoice screams/u deserved it/ as her father has/same as my own."

While perhaps unconventional, it definitely took some courage on O'Donnell's part — and we're thrilled that at least she and Ivanka are able to put Donald Trump aside in the name of kindness.
