MTV Unveils New ‘Teen Mom’ Spin-Off

It has been revealed that MTV is expanding the Teen Mom franchise, and adding a new spin-off to the already hugely popular line-up.

As first reported on by Philly Voice, Teen Mom New Jersey will be premiering this fall on MTV.

The series follows in the footsteps of 16 and Pregnant and its subsequent spin-offs, Teen Mom, Teen Mom 2, and Teen Mom 3.

This is likely a good move on MTV’s part as the aforementioned shows, with the exception of Teen Mom 3, have all been incredibly successful and well-received by fans.

This new entry into the franchise, however, could go either way, depending on how you interpret the response the show’s reveal got on social media.

One person joked, “Teen Mom NJ? They picked the classiest region of the state.”

Another said, “There’s seriously going to be a Teen Mom NJ, because The Jersey Shore didn’t make us look bad enough already.”

On Facebook, someone wrote, “This show will probably suck because :’m sure the girls are only doing this because they want money and fame lol.”

Referencing MTV’s other Jersey show, a Facebook follower wrote, “Oh god all I’m picturing is a bunch of teenage snookis (the old snooki from jersey shore) with babies.”

Some were down right confused about this, as one Twitter user said, “Who got the not so bright idea to make a Teen Mom NJ??”

However, many were excited about the show’s impending premiere. “@MTV is premiering a show called #TeenMomNJ. I have never wanted to watch a TV show more in my life. #yesplease”
