The panel began with the trailer for the seventh season.

Hodor actor Kristian Nairn hit the stage as soon as it ended, sending the fans into an early frenzy.

Isaac Hempstead Wright hit the stage first, followed by Nathalie Emmanuel, John Bradley-West, Liam Cunningham, Sophie Turner, Jacob Anderson, Conleth Hill, Alfie Allen, Gwendoline Christie, filling up the long table at the head of Hall H.

Hodor Asks Questions

Asked whether Christie’s character Brienne of Tarth enjoys Tormund’s advances, Christie said she thinks the character enjoys the power dynamic it brings.

Allen spoke about returning to being Theon Greyjoy after being Reek for so long, the actor called it a challenge and that Theon has had difficulty accepting his new role.

Anderson said he wants his character and Missandei finds happiness.

Turner spoke about the manipulation Sansa has been through and whether or not she’s being influenced by Littlefinger at this point, but she said her character knows how to play the game and is now just as manipulative as he is.

Asked about whether Davos would try to get vengeance for Melisandre’s part in young Shereenย Baratheon’s death, Cunninghamย said Davosย wouldn’t hunt her down but if he saw the Red Priestess on the road that he would pull out a glock and pop “a cap in her ass.”

Q&A Continued

Bradley-West spoke about how Gilly and young Sam have influenced his character. He mentioned that Samwell is always an outsider no matter where he goes, even after he thought getting to the Citadel would bring a sense of acceptance. He said that Samwellย will likely realize that he doesย

Asked “What the hell the Three-Eyed Raven is about,” Hempsteadย Wright said its one of the few fragments that remain of the magical, mystical side of the old Westeros. The Night King appears to be his sworn enemy, so he must have an important role to play.

Everyone was asked what the first law their character would pass if they sat on the Iron Throne, Christie said that women could become knights. Allen said the Brotherhood Without Borders would be allowed to roam and bring people back to life.

Hill said Comic-Con would be free to cheers. Anderson said puppies for everyone and that he’d want a Unicorn. Turner said “unlimited carbohydrates.” Cunningham said Dornish Wine for everyone. Emmanuel said everyone should learn more languages and be bilingual like her character.

Bradley-West said maesters would clean up their own bedpans. Hempsteadย Wright wants everyone who filmed only in the cold places to be able to film in the warm places. Kairnย was asked himself, and he demanded people say thank you for being carried while glaring at Hempsteadย Wright.

Q&A Continued

Christie spoke about Brienne’sย admiration for Catelyn Stark and how she’s connected “to an idea that’s greater than herself” in her quest to serve Sansa Stark and her family.

How comfortable is Theonย now that the true Iron Born has decided to serve Daenerysย Targaryen? Allen said he’s excited to see the new leadership and where it takes him.

Hill was asked about what scares Varys. After joking about the economic outlook, Hill said Varysย is scared of the Red Priestess.

Asked about how he balances his music career with shooting the show, Anderson gave some production details about the show’s shooting schedule. He shoots for six months, and then he works on music when he’s not filming.ย

Turner said she likes dark and gritty roles and that she’s unsure if she could do comedy in the future.

Allen said he’d like to direct. Christie said she’s desperate to do a musical. Asked if she can sing, Christie said “The jury’s still out,” before adding that technology can do all sorts of things.

Fan Questions

Asked if they hate any part of their costumes, Emmanuel said she is sewn into her costume and has to be cut out. Kairn said his costume smelled, prompting Christie to tease him.

One fan asked Christie which fanbase is crazier: Star Wars or Game of Thrones. Christie said the level of passion is equal between the two.

Another asked Turner about Sansa’s relationship with Jon after being reunited. She said there’s a slight sibling rivalry taintedย by the sexism of the culture. Turner wants them to find a balance and realize they can’t fight for ultimate power and need to work together.ย

Referring to Tormund’sย creepy smile, one fan asked Christie what else the Wildlingย could do to “get into Brienne’sย chainmail.” Christie said aย mutual respect between the two could foster something.
