Three ‘American Horror Story: Cult’ Scenes Revealed

American Horror Story has been steadily releasing small details about the upcoming seventh season, subtitled Cult.

In recent weeks, we’ve had a mix of teaser trailers, cryptic concept art, character posters and quotes from the cast. Now, we have our first look at some of the upcoming scenes in the season.

After entering a certain code on the AHS website, fans have found three script snippets from the upcoming season.

While they have some specifics redacted, we get a portrait of what will be touched on in Cult. Plus, we even get a hint at how Twisty the Clown will return to the AHS world.

The Bus Scene

The first snippet is a bit vague, but it does have some terrifying imagery.

Set on a bus, a presumably decapitated tongue is thrust into frame, with a silver rod shoved through it.

The identities of the attacker and accuser are redacted, but the presumed attacker takes the victim’s phone.

Maybe this is some sort of live-streamed incident, and whoever is viewing will see the victim’s gruesome murder.

The Dinner Scene

This next clip alludes to some sort of cannibalism, an act that was also prominently featured in a subplot of the Roanoke season.

Someone is sitting down for dinner when they make a grisly discovery. The prepared dish in front of him or her features severed pinky fingers. The subject is shocked and knocks over a glass of wine as they cover the plate.

Could the “cult” in the season be cannibalistic? Will there be some sort of connection to Roanoke‘s Polk family?

The Urban Legend Scene

Of the three script teases, the final one is the most direct.

We have two characters talking, with one trying to scare the other with an urban legend of a murderer. If you peer into the details of the legend, it’s obvious they’re talking about Twisty the Clown, who first appeared in the Freak Show season.

The picnic murder scene described in the excerpt is the exact Freak Show scene where we first meet Twisty.

The subject also describes the murderers’ appearance because “half,” then the word “shotgun” and a string of redacted words. Half of Twisty’s face was blown off when he tried to commit suicide with a shotgun.

Then, the subject teases that if you say the murderer’s name three times (à la Beetlejuice) he will appear. The excerpt ends before he sees what happens when the name is said.
