Audio recordings of the chilling confessions from the two teenagers believed to be Britain’s youngest double murderers have been released.

Last week, three Court of Appeal judges in London lifted the restrictions on identifying 15-year-old Kim Edwards and her 15-year-old boyfriend Lucas Markham as the murderers. The teenagers brutally killed Kim’s mother and sister as they slept in their Lincolnshire home in April of 2016.

After the murders, Kim and Lucas, who were 14 at the time, reportedly had sex while still in the house. They later shared a bath and watched the Twilight movies, according to The Sun.

In previously released recordings, Kim Edwards said that the primary motivation behind planning and following through with the murders was because her mother “favored my sister more than me.”

On Monday, a new documentary about the horrific crime will be airing on TV. The program, which is called Murdered By My Daughter, will feature exclusive access to the confession by Lucas Markham. During the audio recording, Markham confessed to the murders in an unnervingly calm voice.

“I went into her mum’s room and stabbed her in the neck while she was asleep on her side and smothered her face with a pillow,” Markham said.

“And after I knew she had gone, I went into Katie’s room โ€” which is the same room as Kim’s โ€” and I thought I stabbed her, but โ€ฆ I thought I stabbed her, but I’m not a hundred percent sure โ€” it was, like, her on a mattress and then I smothered her face with a pillow too.”

The law enforcement authorities in Lincolnshire have spoken out about the case saying that the newly released information will “undoubtedly focus attention” on the situation once again.

“The murders of Elizabeth and Katie Edwards were horrific and brutal and the whole country shared a sense of shock that two juveniles, who were only 14 years old at the time, could have carried out such a horrendous act,” Lincolnshire Detective Superintendent Martin Holvey said in a statement.

Holvey continued by saying: “I’m sure that sense of disbelief and horror will be deepened now it is known that it was Elizabeth’s own daughter who was responsible for plotting with her boyfriend to carry out the murders.”

The teens were sentenced to 20 years in prison back in November.
