Eldery couple J.C. and Karen Spencer were trapped during the Hurricane Harvey floods, but they were rescued thanks to an unlikely source: Chick-fil-A.
Out of the 1000’s of rescues from Houston floods, this one’s my favourite. Perfect stranger rescues Grandma on a jet ski! #HurricaneHarvey pic.twitter.com/4NUHynU7Pb

The couple was riding out the storm when their house suddenly flooded. They were regulars at a local Chick-fil-A, so they called the restaurant and asked for a burrito and a boat.

“We had to get out of there so I called Chick-fil-A, now that sounds kind of funny,” J.C. said afterwards. “I ordered two grilled chicken burritos with extra egg and a boat.”
The manager of the location owned a boat and was soon on the way. He arrived and they began to load up whatever possessions they could, but not much would fit in the boat.
Luckily, some unrelated rescuers out on jet skis saw the couple’s struggle and zipped over to pick them up. They snapped a quick pic, which has since gone viral, and were off to safety.
According to J.C., he had left without his wallet and wedding ring, but found them when he was able to return to the house later on.
