Video has surfaced of an odd light appearing over the Gateway Arch in St. Louis, and has sparked conversations all over social media with people searching for an explanation for the abnormal occurrence. Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park captured the strange moment on a surveillance camera, and posted the video to their Facebook page with the following caption, “Unexplained Lights over St. Louis – We guarantee you will be perplexed if you watch all 5 minutes of this surveillance footage!”

Another man named Chase Rhoads also captured video of the phenomenon and sent the footage to FOX 2 News. Rhoads is an independent cleaning consultant and was outside the Casino Queen between 2:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. when he saw a flashing light that caught his eye above the Gateway Arch, according to the news outlet.

As of now, no one seems to have any answers as to what this odd light could be. There were no reports of strange flights, and no one had seen anything that morning according to a spokesperson for the National Park Service. FOX 2 News also put in a call to Scott Air Force Base and learned that they had nothing out of the ordinary to report, and that there were no phone calls regarding the flashing light over the Gateway Arch.

The director of the Metro East Parks and Recreation District, Mike Buehlhorn, stated that he doesn’t know if he believes in UFO’s, but “there’s something weird with that one.”

Do you think that the surveillance footage from the Malcolm W. Martin Memorial Park, and the video from Chase Rhoads was a glimpse at a UFO or some other flashing light of the supernatural variety?
