Killearn Lakes Elementary school decided to send its students home with a “Pledge of Allegiance Request,” but one uncle was not having it. He furiously took to Facebook to express himself.
The request asked parents to sign it if they wanted their child removed from having to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The Florida uncle who read the waiver was not happy one bit and thought it was the “dumbest thing ever.”

Here is what the request specifically said:
I understand my rights as a parent and I request that my child, noted above, be excused from reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. This request includes standing and placing his/her right hand over his/her heart.
