John Wick 2 is hitting theaters this weekend, and the first wave of critic reviews is beginning to surface online.
So far, the majority of these reviews have been overwhelmingly positive. They often praise Keanu Reeves’ performance, the gritty action of the film, and the amount ot epic fun the critics had while watching.

The biggest takeaway here is that the new John Wick was able to capture the success of the first movie, and still find a way to be fresh and inventive.

Variety has become a trusted review source in the eye of the public, and their review was one of the most positive of the bunch.

While the THRย review mentioned that John Wick 2 was good, and that it shouldn’t have any problem beating out its predecessor, it didn’t say much else about the quality of the film.
This piece also had a couple of negative things to say, mainly aimed that the script and writing team.

The Wrap’s review gives a lot of praise to star Keanuย Reeves, and really aims to let readers know that the action here is as thrilling as they could expect.
