Just after Anton Yelchin tragically died last month, his family asked for privacy to mourn their loss, but now, his parents, Irina and Viktor, have taken out a full-page ad in The Hollywood Reporter to thank everyone for their support during this difficult time.
“Thank you to all of you who have sent flowers and gifts, for your condolences and kind words and to all who came to celebrate the life of our dear son, Anton,” the touching letter reads. “We are deeply grateful for your unconditional loveโฆ He would be surprised at how many hearts and souls he touched. Thank you very much.”

Yelchin tragically died Sunday, June 19, at around 1 a.m., when his 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee rolled backwards down his steep driveway, pinning him against a brick mailbox pillar and security fence. The 27-year-old actor was on his way to meet his friends for rehearsal, but when he didn’t show up, his friends went to his house and found him deceased by his car.
In less than a week, audiences will get to see one of Yelchin’s final performances when Star Trek Beyond is released across the globe.
