Chewbacca Mom Sings Michael Jackson Song Following Shootings

Over the last few weeks, it seems you can't turn on the television or read the news without observing yet another incident of violence in our country, which includes the latest shooting in Dallas Texas where 5 police officers were gunned down.

Candace Payne, who has become known by the nickname Chewbacca Mom, is currently living in Grand Prairie Texas, which is just about 30 minutes away from Dallas. She took to Facebook to share some words from the heart.

"I am thousands of miles, hundreds of miles away from, um, really identifying with every single ounce of pain that I know is being felt by the whole world right now, literally the whole world, and so um, I really don't know what else to say other than I've been spreading joy, and I've been hoping to do that, but I found myself the last couple of days being silent because I've been so sad and so hurt by what's going on, and I wanted to just share with you my own arrangement of a song that I came across that has really meant something amazing to me."

That song is Heal The World by Michael Jackson, and you can see her rendition in the video above. The lyrics are still incredibly fitting, even all these years later.
