French Olympic gymnast Samir Ait Said broke his leg when he landed awkwardly on a vault attempt Saturday at the Olympic Games in Rio. (Warning graphic video below.)


He was taken off on a stretcher following the incident and acknowledged the crowd according to a story from the BBC.

According to the article, Said won the gold medal in the rings at the 2013 European Championships and won silver on the rings in 2015.
