"Cuts Deep"
The country music industry has taken its lumps over the past few weeks. Before Prine passed away, the world also lost Kenny Rogers and Joe Diffie.
"I am so sad about John Prine," one user wrote. "He'd survived so much. His work taught me a great deal about compassionate, thoughtful writing -- writing that understood a love rooted in the critical and curious was the love worth pursuing. I'm thankful we got him for as long as we did. Still sad."

Another Coronavirus Horror Story
One Twitter account noted the tough three week span not just in the music industry but in the world. Diffie also lost his life due to the coronavirus.
"Kenny Rogers, Joe Diffie, and John Prine have all passed away within two weeks. 2/3 deaths were from the virus and I know this affecting people everywhere and people are losing family members every day, but country music is a place for happiness and positivity, and I feel like the entire country music family has been getting pretty hard from this and it makes me so sad," he wrote, before adding a second message in the thread. "I hope this is all over soon and we can go back to enjoying our summer concerts and supporting the artists we love and never take for granted."
