On Wednesday night, Kelsea Ballerini and Reba McEntire were among the beloved musical collaborations that teamed up for an epic duet on the 2017 CMA Awards that was nothing short of “legendary.”

Proving they are the queens of country music, Ballerini performed her top-charting hit “Legends” with McEntire, blowing the roof off the Bridgestone Arena. With old school, meeting new school, it was a pair up showcasing the best of both worlds.

In a dimmed spotlight, Ballerini wore a magical, rose gold gown, starting the track with a stripped down version of her hit “Legends.” McEntire, in all her glory, came out with an off-the-shoulder black gown. What followed was the two harmonizing like they’ve been singing together for years.

And naturally, social media had a lot of feelings. While some really enjoyed the performance and got emotional, others were taken aback and not sure how to feel.
