Actor Nelsan Ellis, best known for his role on True Blood, has died at the age of 39. Before he passed away due to heart failure, the actor had shared some somber quotes on his Instagram profile.
His last Insta post was a trailer for True To The Game, a new movie he’s in, but his previous post was a touching quote that will surely resonate with those mourning his death.

The quote reads, “Without rain nothing grows, learn to embrace the storms of your life.”
He also shared another deep quote earlier in the month and urged followers to “dream big.”

“The world will not put a value on you greater than you value yourself,” he captioned the post. “It doesn’t hurt to dream big, put a bigger value on yourself.”
One of his last personal posts was of his niece, Lyric. In the post, he reflected on the beauty of having children. Ellison had one young son of his own.
“Making the decision to have a child is momentous,” he wrote. “It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”
