The separation of Hollywood power couple Anna Faris and Chris Pratt still has fans and friends reeling. However, Faris possibly alluded to the turbulent aspects of her relationship leading up to the public separation.
Faris talked with Live Happy not long before the announcement, and alludes to discussing her “heartbreak” in her upcoming book, Unqualified.

“The goal was to share my experience because it’s not that different from so many other people,” she said. “Everyone has had their heart broken or screwed up a good relationship. And my hope is that people will walk away realizing that so many journeys are the same. My heartbreak is the same as someone else’s and if I have to be vulnerable for people to get that, that’s OK.”
She also talks her relationship podcast Anna Faris is Unqualified, which inspired the book. She said one of her objectives on the show is to let fans realize that “everyone has heartache.”
“It’s a chance for listeners to get to relate to people they see in movies, hear on the radio, etc., in a real way. To see everyone has heartache. It’s not exclusive to any one group or demographic.”
Her now-estranged husband is also quoted in the article. Pratt praises Faris’ podcast and her advice on relationships.
“She always takes into careful consideration the well-being of her listeners’ hearts and gives the kind of supportive advice you’d get from a friend,” he said.
The couple announced their separation on August 6 through social media posts.
“Anna and I are sad to announce we are legally separating,” Pratt wrote. “We tried hard for a long time, and we’re really disappointed.”
