WARNING: Spoilers ahead for the Game of Thrones Season 7 finale!
In the season finale of Game of Thrones, dueling queens Daenerys and Cersei finally met face-to-face. As you’d probably expect, Cersei wasn’t the kindest person in the world, calling Dany a “foreign whore.”

However, there was a little bit more to Cersei’s attitude than just meeting her adversary. As it turns out, Cersei was extremely jealous.
During the filming of the episode last November, EW spoke with Lena Headey about Cersei’s mindset in that moment.
“I think she’s immediately envious because Daenerys is more beautiful and younger than she is and the prophecy says somebody younger and more beautiful will take her place so I’m sure that’s at the forefront of her mind,” Headey said. “And Tyrion is her Hand, so she couldn’t be any worse.”
If you recall, the prophecy Headey is referring to is the one that Maggy the Frog revealed to Cersei when she was a child. The prophecy basically told Cersei that she would have three children and become queen, but then a younger and more beautiful woman would take everything away from her.”
After watching Season 7, it seems as though that prophecy might actually come true.
