“Last night at 10:28 PM Ada James Akins was born and it was truly the most amazing thing I have ever experienced,” the 27-year-old singer wrote. “I can’t believe that we have two daughters!!”
Rhett goes on to reveal that Lauren labored for a little more than 36 hours, with the impressed father writing, “She is by far the strongest human being I have ever met and I have a new found respect for moms around the world.”
He went on to share that they are “excited” their adopted daughter, Willa Gray will have a baby sister!”
Their newest bundle of love comes just months after the country superstar and his wife of four-and-a-half years welcomed Willa Gray Akins.
Lauren shared the same image on her Instagram, adding that their little Ada James weighs 7 pounds, 3 ounces and “is so stinking cute.”
As per the post, the second-time mom and her family are doing well and just resting, but says more images are to come as “Thomas Rhett and I are so I love with her. And Willa Gray is so excited to finally have a baby sister.”
In February, the couple shared the double-dose of baby news via social media, sharing with fans that they were not only adopting a baby girl from Africa, but expecting one of their own.
The parents who adorably met as kindergartners and have been life-long loves, were married on Oct. 12, 2012, and will be celebrating their five-year anniversary this autumn.
