It looks like Salma Hayek and Ryan Reynolds became fast friends after starring in The Hitman’s Bodyguard together.
The Oscar-nominated actress shared an Instagram from Reynolds’ kitchen on Thursday, holding his and wife Blake Lively’s 10-month-old daughter, Ines, while apparently cooking dinner. Reynolds can be seen clapping in the background, whether he’s getting his daughter’s attention or he’s just happy to be getting some help around the house.

“When your friends invite you for dinner and you end up doing all the work,” Hayek wrote in the silly caption, before repeating it in Spanish and adding the hashtag #tbt.
While many of Hayek’s Instagram followers oohed and ahhed over this celebrity friendship, others were quick to criticize the 50-year-old mom of one for holding a baby over a stove.
“Not safe to carry a child while cooking!” one Instagram user commented.
“Did anyone notice where the baby has her foot?” another wrote, pointing out that Ines’ foot was in between the stove and the handrail.
“Que peligroso… Jamas se debe cocinar y cargar a un bebé,” a Spanish-speaking user added, which translated into English means “How dangerous… You should never cook and carry a baby.”
Others wrote that the giant copper pot Hayek was “stirring” appeared to be empty, which would certainly make sense, given that the Desperado star was clearly joking about cooking and babysitting for Reynolds and Lively.
(While there’s no word on where Lively was at the time, it’s safe to deduce that someone had to be taking the photo.)
Hayek, who shares her 10-year-old daughter, Valentina, with French husband Francois-Henri Pinault, isn’t the only celebrity mom to be attacked for a kitchen social media post. Last month, Pink shut down mommy-shamers after receiving criticism for wearing her 7-month-old son, Jameson, in a baby carrier while she cooked at the stove. Her 6-year-old daughter Willow was perched on the counter next to the stove, and fans were quick to chime in with their opinions on the matter.
“Cute photo but please don’t cook wearing the baby. I’ve read some really horrific stories about terrible accidents that have occurred doing this,” wrote one person. Another said, “I babywear all the time except when I’m cooking hot meals. The better alternative, I suppose if you really must, would be wearing the baby on your back. Not directly facing the hot stove.”
Not one to take unfair criticism lying down, the 37-year-old rocker wrote in the comments that she was glad most of the commenters were defending her.
“I’m relieved that most of you see the ridiculousness of the comment situation,” she wrote. “Lord help us all.”
