In a statement from Luke’s lawyers to Variety, “Dr. Luke’s counsel served a subpoena on Lady Gaga because she has relevant information regarding, among other things, false statements about Dr. Luke made to her by Kesha.”
His lawyers go on to state that “this motion has become necessary because Dr. Luke’s counsel has not been able to obtain, despite repeated request, a deposition date from Lady Gaga.”
Luke’s lawyers also confirmed that anyone in connection to these claims against Kesha, including third parties are being deposed, including celebrities.
In documents obtained by TMZ, Lady Gaga did not submit any written statements, but did redact too much of the content to prove useful in the court of law. The “Born This Way” singer is now required to attend a three-hour sit-down interview.
Gaga has publicly supported Kesha throughout her sexual assault case against Luke, even tweeting the hashtag, #FreeKesha.

Kesha has been stuck in a legal battle with Luke since 2014 in an attempt to get out of her recording contract with him. In the filings, it was reported Kesha accused him of being sexually, physically and emotionally abusive towards her.
While Luke has denied all the accusations and filed a defamation suit against her, Kesha filed a separate sexual assault lawsuit against him in 2016, the same year her mother, Pebe Sebert, was sued by Luke for defamation. However, Luke dropped the suits this past June.
