The paparazzo that pop superstar Justin Bieber hit with his truck on Wednesday night is speaking out about the incident. The photographer, Maurice Lamont, took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal a video from the hospital before having an examination to explain that the 23-year-old singer had no bad intentions in the accident.

WOW WHAT A WAY TO BRING IN MY BIRTHDAY! SHOTGETTER POWER! I WISH BIEBER WAS STILL ON TOUR!!

Lamont said in the video: "Hour before my birthday hits, I get ran over by Justin Bieber. Isn't that something? He's a good kid though. I think the truck was a little bit too big for him though. Cause there's no way he could see over the front, it was the slope it was on. But like I said, he got out, he was compassionate. He's a good kid. Accidents happen. Hopefully, everything works out here."

The incident happened on Wednesday night as the "Sorry" hitmaker was leaving Church. He was surrounded by photographers and when trying to leave in his truck, he accidentally ran over one of them with the front passenger wheel during the incident.

Immediately after hitting the paparazzo, Bieber jumped out of his vehicle to evaluate the situation and make sure that Lamont was ok.

Cops soon arrived on the scene with an onlooker saying Bieber "was totally cooperative with the police" as he was questioned.

"[The cops] taped off the area and the cops took him inside," a witness said. "They did not arrest him."

The latest reports are saying that Lamont suffered non-life-threatening injuries to one of his lower extremities.

More: Justin Bieber Reportedly Had Religious Reasons for Cancelling Tour

Earlier this week, Bieber made headlines after he canceled the remainder of his Purpose World Tour "due to unforeseen circumstances." Some sources close to the Grammy winner are saying that the remaining shows were canceled for "religious reasons."

"I am led to believe that the real reason he has come off the road is because he wants to reconnect with his faith and he may be even planning to start his own church," Australian TV personality Richard Wilkins said, who has a source close to Bieber said. "We know that he was in the country a few weeks ago having meetings and attending the big Hillsong convention that they had here. [He's] very close to a lot of the Hillsong people."
