Will Smith is making the dive head first into the Netflix streaming world with Bright, the new Netflix original film from Suicide Squad and End of Watch director, David Ayer. After a lot of buzz and anticipation, you can now watch the official trailer for Bright above!
In the film, Smith plays Daryl War, an LAPD cop living in a world with creatures from the Fantasy genre (orcs, elves, fairies), who gets partnered up with the force’s first orc hire, Nick Jakoby (Joel Edgerton).

Daryl and Nick just try to co-exist as partners with the entire world watching them, but things get much more complicated when a real-life magic wand falls into the wrong hands. That leaves the human/orc cop team on the search for the powerful artifact in LA streets, trying to stop a potential danger from becoming a world-changing catastrophe that would make co-existence between humans and fantasy creatures forever impossible.
Bright was written by Chronicle and American Ultra scribe Max Landis. Along with Smith and Edgerton, the film features Noomi Rapace (Prometheus), Kenneth Choi (Captain America: The First Avenger), Lucy Fry (Wolf Creek), Edgar Ramirez (Hands of Stone), Dawn Olivieri (House of Lies) and Ike Barinholtz (Neighbors).
Bright will stream on Netflix and hit theaters on December 22, 2017.
