There’s nothing like a bowl of rich, creamy ice cream on a hot day. But for those who are lactose intolerant or have a dairy-free dietary need finding a non-dairy ice cream that is well, creamy, can be a challenge.

Häagen-Dazs aims to change that. The ice cream brand known for rich, creamy ice cream has just launched a new non-dairy line with one catch — for now, the four dairy-free flavors are only available at Target.
As reported by Real Simple, the new Haagen-Dazs line offers four flavors that sound every bit as delicious as the rest of Häagen-Dazs’ offerings — Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Mocha Chocolate Cookie and Coconut Caramel.
The flavors each contain premium ingredients like their dairy counterparts. The Chocolate Salted Fudge Truffle is made with Belgian chocolate, salted fudge and fudge truffle chunks. The Mocha Chocolate Cookie brings together Belgian chocolate and coffee ice creams with cookie crumbles. The Coconut Caramel is made with coconut cream mixed with ribbons of caramel while the Peanut Butter Chocolate features a peanut butter ice cream base with chocolate fudge swirls.

However, even with the rich-sounding flavors, the non-dairy line does differ from the brand’s classic five-ingredient flavors in that the dairy-free collection contains around 15 ingredients each.
The Häagen-Dazs non-dairy ice cream pints are exclusively available at Target beginning this month. They will roll out to other retailers in early 2018.
