Mayweather has said this will be his final fight, and this will be McGregor’s first official boxing match. There’s a lot on the line for both fighters, in terms of both reputation and money. So there’s on big question: Who will win?

Scroll through to see who the odds-makers, experts and fans are predicting will come out on top.

The Odds

The odds are in Mayweather’s favor, as you may have guessed.

The seasoned boxers is favored to win as a -400 favorite (bet $400, win $100) for a victory, according to CNET. McGregor is currently at +300 (bet $100, win $300), so if her pulls off the upset, supporters could win big.

It’s also interesting to see the “prop bets,” which are the bets focused on specific details of the fight.  While there are bets over how the decision will play out (knockout, decision, etc.), there are some that are much more trivial.

For example, there’s a bet to see which fighter will have more people accompanying him from the dressing room to the ring (Mayweather -230, McGregor +160). There’s even one to see which fighter will take longer to walk to the ring (Mayweather -155, McGregor +110).

Experts Weigh In

The experts are mostly supporting the odds projections, citing Mayweather’s experience and defensive prowess.

“The temptation to take McGregor is strong, one of the reasons the bets in Vegas are 12 to 1 on him,” columnist Bill Reiter said. “But there’s still more money on Mayweather because the SmartMoney knows what the heart won’t admit with McGregor: the Irishman has no chance. Zilch. Mayweather is perhaps the greatest defensive boxer of all time, McGregor is a supreme athlete in another sport, and that’s that’s all you need to know. Mayweather dominates.”

However, some are giving McGregor a bit of a chance to win. He’s younger, stronger and has a different approach ot boxing than most. If he’s able to exploit those advantages early on, he could pull off a huge upset.

“I do give McGregor a chance of winning,” said UFC fighter-turned-boxer Jimi Manuwa. “The thing is Mayweather’s ring craftsmanship is second to none. So Conor has to really make him work and bully him in there – he has to get him into a corner and beat him up. And Conor has MMA skills which Mayweather won’t have seen before.”

Fans Weigh In

The fan sentiment is a bit more centric, with both sides being represented in the conversation.

While many think Mayweather will dominate, some think McGregor, who has a passionate fan base, will surprise everyone.

“Mayweather 1 million%!!” wrote one user. “Love McGregor and his big mouth, great showman but he’s gonna be taught a boxing lesson later.”

“Betting any money on McGregor is equivalent to setting your money on fire,” wrote user Matt Varner. “Idk why I’ve had the feeling that Conor Mcgregor is gonna pull off this upset and shock everyone lol,” wrote Chris Chavez.
